On behalf of the Coalition for Peter Obi (CPO), I warmly felicitate with Nigerians at home and across the world as we proudly commemorate our 66th Independence Anniversary.
Today, we celebrate the courage, vision and sacrifices of our founding fathers, whose unwavering determination secured our freedom and gave birth to the sovereign nation we proudly call Nigeria. Independence Day is both a celebration of our remarkable journey and a solemn reminder of our shared responsibility to build a stronger, more united and prosperous nation.
Though our country faces significant challenges, Nigeria remains a land of immense promise. We are a resilient, resourceful and hopeful people, blessed with extraordinary talent, creativity, enterprise and courage. Across every region and community, Nigerians continue to prove that our nation possesses the strength and capacity to rise above adversity. Indeed, a New Nigeria is Certainly Possible in 2027.
As we look to the future, let us renew our commitment to national unity, good governance, accountability, justice, economic opportunity, security and respect for the dignity of every Nigerian. The Nigeria of our dreams will not be built by government alone. It requires the active participation, sacrifice and patriotism of all—leaders and citizens, young and old, at home and in the diaspora.
The Coalition for Peter Obi (CPO) remains steadfast in its commitment to constructive civic and political engagement, grassroots sensitisation and the empowerment of Nigerians—especially our young people—to take an active, informed and responsible role in shaping the future of our nation.
As we celebrate this historic occasion, let us remember that patriotism is more than waving the national flag or singing the national anthem. It is demonstrated in how we treat one another, uphold the rule of law, protect public resources, reject corruption, participate responsibly in our democracy and contribute meaningfully to our communities.
Let us honour the sacrifices of those who came before us by choosing unity over division, hope over despair and service over selfishness. Together, with faith in God and confidence in our collective strength, we can build a Nigeria that is peaceful, just, secure and prosperous—a nation worthy of the dreams of our heroes and the aspirations of generations yet unborn.
May Nigeria continue to flourish in peace, unity and prosperity. May the green and white flag forever inspire us to serve our country with courage, integrity and love.
